The hit ABC sitcom has written Garlin’s character and will address the cause
ABC has officially flagged off the tenth season of its long-running sitcom, the goldbergs, But several inside events have led to changes for the show. It stars Jeff Garlin, who plays patriarch Murray Goldberg. We will discuss about this in detail below.
The 59-year-old actor has been under scrutiny for three years before leaving in December 2021. Due to his on-set behavior HR intervened and sorted things out. The actor was accused of displaying “a pattern of verbal and physical conduct” that caused trouble for the cast and crew. Sony Pictures Television eventually struck a deal with Garlin and the actor left the show.
The actor’s departure caused some problems after he left in the middle of Season 9. The following episode featured the use of a body double for Murray and pre-recorded dialogue. Garlin’s face was superimposed on the double. Wendy McLendon-Covey, who plays his wife Beverly, tweeted about the changes, saying it threw him for a loop.
Changes in The Goldbergs Season 10
But now that they have completed season 9, the sale of season 10 will be easy. The show will address Garlin’s departure. We don’t have too much information, but Murray will be written to soon. We will get to see it when the trailers start coming out.
Garlin’s exit is the second change in the series. Before the start of Season 9, George Segal, who played Pop in the series, died following complications from bypass surgery. The show addressed that he quietly passed away in his sleep.
