Call of Duty: Vanguard Season 3
Brought some significant changes including the highly-requested trophy system, kernel-level RICOCHET anti-cheat, new weapons and maps.
But there’s still a lot more Vanguard content to come, with the Season 4 update now live. We’re breaking down everything we know about Vanguard Season 4, including the release date, Shi no Numa map, USS Texas, and more.
Call of Duty: Vanguard Season 4 goes live on Wednesday, June 22, 2022, shortly after Season 3 ends. The update will debut on June 21, but content will only be available at 9 a.m. PT / 12 p.m. ET / the following day. 5 pm BST.
Call of Duty confirmed the date when they revealed key Season 4 art that shows off Warzone’s new Fortune Keep map. This is also when the Season 3 Battle Pass ends, so make sure you’ve earned all the rewards before June 22nd.
USS Texas Coming to Vanguard in Season 4
It appears that Sledgehammer Games will be re-introducing one of their previous maps with WWII’s USS Texas previously discovered in the Vanguard Season 4 game files.
The USS Texas was a launch map from 2017’s WWII on a battleship, where long-range combat takes place along the interior of the ship, conducive to close-up combat.

“USS Texas embarks on the high seas in 1945. Battles on deck and in interior locations of USS Texas 1945, beginning at the start of the new season.”
A second new map called ‘Desolation’ is also coming, but that’s expected with the Season 4 Reloaded update.
Round-Based She No Numa Vanguard Comes to the Zombies
Zombies players have been begging for Vanguard to get a traditional round-based map, and it’s finally coming in Season 4 with a re-imagining of the world in Shi no Numa of War.
This map remaster will bring an “all-new main quest and side quests, a new area to explore, a new Wonder Weapon quest, the classic Flogger trap and electro-shock defense, remastered Easter Eggs, new Pac-a-Punch cameos and more. And a new Dark Aether legend for the map.
Treyarch confirmed that Shi no Numa will arrive at the Season 4 launch on Wednesday, June 22.

Beginning in Vanguard Season 4, players will be able to unlock the Marco 5 SMG and UGM-8 LMG via the Battle Pass. This will be the fourth SMG and second LMG to be added to the Vanguard after launch.

Sometime throughout Season 4, players will also be able to get their hands on a new melee weapon called the Push Dagger and the Vargo-S Assault Rifle.
Vanguard Season 4 Blueprint Gun Game Mode
The classic Blueprint Gun game mode will make its way to Vanguard at the beginning of Season 4. Players will face off in a race to progress through all 18 blueprint weapons as they search for the kill.
As usual, a kill will allow you to move on to the next weapon while a melee attack will allow players to withdraw a weapon.
No killstreaks, perks, or loadouts are allowed in this mode, which means you’ll have to prove your dominance with a variety of weapons.
New Vanguard Season 4 Operators
Captain Butcher, Callum Hendry, and Ikea Oloway are members of Task Force Immortal coming to Vanguard Season 4. Callum Hendry joins Butcher as another member of the British Special Forces.

Meanwhile, Ikea Oloway is a top level strategist from Nigeria. He is a battlefield engineer for Task Force Immortal and a versatile fighter at the time. Hendry and Ikena will both be available later in Season 4, while Butcher will arrive at the season’s launch.
Vanguard Season 4 Full Patch Notes
NEW: USS Texas 1945 The USS Texas returns from Call of Duty: WWII (2017) for one last voyage. Set sail for Season Four’s launch on its 24/7 featured playlist.
Castle bullets will no longer penetrate the wall near High Ground to prevent unwanted spawn situations.
Sphere addressed an issue that prevented Glide Bomb killstreak audio from being heard by players within Labs.
NEW: The Blueprint Gun Game An all-time classic game mode makes its Vanguard debut. Be the first player to score kills with each of the weapons provided.
Season Four Skill Rating Reset Players skill ratings have been reset at the start of Season Four. Play 5 skill evaluation matches to earn a Season Four skill rating and rank in the skill division and tier. Win matches after your initial placement to earn SR and advance your skill division and level throughout the rest of the season.
Season Four Top 250 Skill Divisions and Leaderboards Season Four Top 250 Skill Divisions and Ladders will go live on June 29, a full week after Season Four begins. This release timing will give players time to earn a Season Four skill rating and advance through divisions.

NEW: Carver Butcher (Immortal) Butcher fights against the 16th Panzer Division in the British Army during Operation Devon. He was dismissed after the blast shrapnel hit his face, but returned to the front line soon after being called to duty. There he saw resistance fighters in action. Inspired, became a founder and recruiter of the Special Operations Task Force. The rest, as they say, is history.
NEW: Callum Hendry (Immortal) All his life, Callum was a sham, constant adventures and getting into trouble with neighbors, woodland creatures, the law – everyone. His unwavering spirit helped him rapidly ascend the ranks of the British Army and eventually became a recruiting instructor. In World War II, Callum fought hard for a future without them, harboring a deep hatred for the Nazis and their ideals. He is currently a trainer for all SOTF agents.
General added the ability to inspect equipped weapons. Sophisticated pros and cons for all magazine attachments at Gunsmith that modify target down sight time and reload speed to accurately reflect the attachment’s effects. Increased damage to melee weapons in the overclocked playlist to maintain one-hit-kill. Addressed an issue that prevented Diamond Camo from unlocking for melee weapons after meeting requirements. NEW: The Marco 5 (Submachine Gun) A high-mobility submachine gun that is accurate from the hip with excellent close-range stopping power. Open at Tier 15 in the Season Four Battle Pass
NEW: UGM-8 (Light Machine Gun) High fire rate, mobile LMG that is excellent at suppressing fire and advancing enemy positions. Open at Tier 31 in the Season Four Battle Pass
Nikita AVT (Assault Rifle) added Weapon Unlock Challenge. Get 10 kills by moving 15 times in a match.
Armaguera 43 (submachine gun) corrected challenge requirements for the Death Artist camo category.
H4 Blixen (submachine gun) corrected alignment of Magnus Tac iron sights.

User Interface and Experience
Resolved an issue that caused the PC keybind to be reset to default when switching between Campaign, Multiplayer and Zombies modes.
Browning a player’s clans will now display the true level of each individual clan.
Addressed an issue where loadouts would persist with older weapon selections.
Bundles & Cosmetics
Quick Equipment can no longer be used to equip unsupported reticles on the optic attachment.
The “Shi No Numa” round-based zombie returns with Shi No Numa on June 22. Classic map elements return like door buoys, flogger traps and electro-shock defenses. The classic wall budge makes a comeback with the round-based zombies. Players can now purchase select weapons from designated Wall Buy locations. Starting in the sixth round, the Wall Buys will have the chance to rise to the Pac-A-Punch level in each round and reach level 3 in the higher rounds. The Pack-a-Punch level increase probability improves every five rounds until all available Wall Buys are level three. A new area to explore… Uncover its secrets.
New Story Quest is available on June 22 in “Shi no Numa”.
New narrative intelligence is available in “Shi no Numa” to advance the Dark Aether story.
Challenges of the Seasons Challenges of the new season available at the beginning of season four.
The Wunderwaffe DG-2 is available in “Shi no Numa” through the Wonder Weapon Quest, with additional DG-2s added to the Mystery Box in Round 10.
Season 4 is available in UGM-8 and Marco 5 Zombies loadout which was once unlocked via the Season 4 Battle Pass.
