Christopher Walken’s character
Christopher Walken is set to star as the Emperor of the Universe. His full name is Emperor Shaddam IV, Padishah of House Corino. He may not have been present in the first film, but he played a big role. The Emperor is the one who sent Duke Leto (Oscar Isaac) to rule the desert kingdom of Arrakis. He always knew that this would lead to bad blood between House Atreides and House Harkonnen. And of course, Baron Vladimir Harkonnen (Stellan Skarsgrd) of House Harkonnen instigates a siege that killed Duke Leto, and his son Paul (Timothie Chalamet) went into hiding. Paul now joins the local Freeman community to rebel against the Harkonnens.
Christopher Walken will join Florence Pugh (little Women) and Austin Butler (elvis,
role of emperor
We’re hoping Villeneuve continues to faithfully embrace the novel. If he does, the Emperor is a truly observable character. He will reach Arrakis with Harkonnen and attack the Freemen and their new allies. Skarsgard has already proven himself to be dangerous with his character, so Christopher Walken will have to stay one step ahead.
