With Disney’s historic charge of Fox and all of their TV and film properties, the doors are now open for all X-Men characters in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, as exciting as the announcement was, it has raised more questions than answers. How will the X-Men enter the MCU? Will they be reconstructed or not?

Despite all the confusion and speculation, there is one X-Men character that Kevin Feige would never repeat in his right mind, and that is the infamous Deadpool. After years of pushing the Deadpool franchise into the studio, Ryan Reynolds has already played the character for 2 movies under the Fox logo and it’s clear that no one can play Merck to mouth better than a Canadian actor.

Now a Disney property, a third Deadpool film has already been confirmed in the works as Marvel’s first R-rated film, and writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick are hopped on board to begin the process.

People are excited to see how Reynolds Deadpool will interact with some classic MCU characters and speculation is rife that the upcoming Marvel project will have a Deadpool cameo and which Marvel characters will first appear in the third Deadpool film.

A popular theory is that since writers Reese and Wernicke collaborated with Chris Hemsworth in the latest Netflix’s Spiderhead, Thor may have a cameo in Deadpool 3. The idea is certainly a fan favorite after Taika Watiti gave a more comical direction to the character of Thor in the third film Thor Ragnarok.

The writers have been keeping a very tight lid on what’s going on behind the scenes of Merck’s next adventure, but when questioned about the possibility they only had to say, “Hey man, if he did, we Definitely can’t talk about this. [But] That would be pretty cool.”

So, the idea is still up in the air and nothing is being labeled as off-the-table. Fans are excited to see what direction the MCU will take with the only confirmed X-Men character not to be remastered for the MCU.
