Cody Rhodes won one of the most uncomfortable matches in the world As in WWE history, he defeated Seth Freakin’ Rollins at Hell in a Cell 2022.

American Nightmare went into Sunday night’s main event with a torn pectoral tendon and terrified Allstate Arena as he hurt his chest and shoulder.

What followed was a deeply astonishing but undeniably gruesome performance from Rhodes as he defeated Rollins to put an exclamation point on his epic trilogy.

Visionary stunned fans during his own entrance for a very different reason as he turned out to be sporting the polka dots worn by Cody’s late father Dusty, and at one point he used to punish his opponent. The same pattern belt was also used for this.

In the Hell in a Cell match itself, Rollins continued to dominate for a long time, aiming for an injury to Rhodes, a quiet stillness fell on the arena.

Once Cody was able to survive the splash that sent Seth through a table, the tide turned and the combat became more competitive, with lots of context scattered around.

Given the Rhodes family’s history in wrestling, it was a nice touch to see the bout become a bull rope match, while the sledgehammer and Cody hitting a pedigree was fantastic.

In the end, Rhodes won and stood tall, although there could be a very real physical cost as his focus is now on his injury rehab.

Bianca Belair and Theory retain gold, raise Happy Corbin and more

The night began with a blazing instant classic as Bianca Bellair took on Becky Lynch and Asuka to retain the Raw Women’s Championship in an incredible match that showcased the wild chemistry between the three stars.

It was a match packed with highlights at an alarming pace, with Big Time Beck looking like she had won on several occasions as the Queen of Tomorrow kept the fight alive in front of a crowd packed with her approval.

In the end, Belair sent his opponent out with WWE’s EST after a man-handle slam and then steals the pin on Asuka to play Lynch to his game.

MVP and Omos turned down an offer from Cedric Alexander for extra help in their handicap match against Bobby Lashley, and he played at the end as he jumped into the ring, distracting.

With the focus on getting their former Hurt business associate out of the ring, All Mighty hit a big spear at Omos and helped by a heated crowd with Hurt Lock to collect the MVP at the end of a fun match .

Kevin Owens won with a stunner over Elias’ younger brother Ezekiel to end an entertaining match, with Allstate Arena spectators in action after a relatively quiet start.

After a slow start, the match against AJ Styles, Finn Balor and Liv Morgan at Judgment Day really took off and delivered some exciting action.

Phenomenal One was bleeding profusely by the end of the bout and was being looked after by medical personnel at ringside, while Edge, Damien Priest and Rhea Ripley won, with no new members entering their ranks yet .

Madcap Moss scored a major victory over Happy Corbin in a brutal no-holds-barred match as bitter rivals punished each other with some real punishment, making the highest bet despite calls from the crowd for the table.

Finally, Moss hit a fallaway slam on the steel steps, followed by a punchline and another shot with a chair wrapped around Corbin’s neck.

After this, the sold-out Allstate Arena trailed hometown hero Mustafa Ali as he challenged Theory for the United States title.

After a spectacular match that gave both stars plenty of opportunity to shine, the champion retained the gold, much to the dismay of fans – while plenty of John Cena references could point to his big plans for the summer.
