Johnny Depp shocked fans when he drove to Sheffield while awaiting the verdict of his trial against Amber Heard playing guitar with his friend Jeff Beck.

While many expected Depp, 58, to immediately return to Virginia in the US for the verdict (which saw him win), he remained in Britain, joining Beck for his big London show at the Royal Albert Hall.

Depp seems to be well and truly enjoying the UK, even going to Newcastle as news of his win broke, with Beck and Geordie celebrating with local Sam Fender at a pub, and fans greeting did.

Depp has been confirmed for the remaining dates on Beck’s UK tour.

June 2 – Gateshead

June 3 – Glasgow

4 June – Manchester

6 June – Birmingham

7 June – York

Depp is believed to have committed to the tour before trial dates were set.

Later in June, Beck is running around Europe, starting in Helsinki on 19 June. It is currently unconfirmed whether Depp will be joining her for this leg of the tour.

Depp and Beck have known each other for five years, with the musician introducing the actor on stage in Sheffield by saying: ‘He knocked on my dressing room door almost five years ago and we haven’t stopped laughing since.’

On Wednesday, the jury confirmed they had reached a unanimous verdict, awarding the Pirates of the Caribbean actor $10 million (£8 million) in compensatory damages and $5 million (£4 million) in punitive damages. has given.
