A man has been jailed for two years and barred from working for police after hundreds of sick pictures and videos of children were found.
Former PCSO James Land filmed children turning three years old in a swimming pool in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
A court heard how he even hid the underwear of a teenage girl under his bed.
Bhumi, who had previously been part of a specialist team dealing with online crime for Derbyshire Police, was arrested by her own aide.
He was caught accessing some pictures on a work laptop in May 2021.
Officers searched the 43-year-old’s home in Cromford, Peak District, and seized nine devices, including a personal laptop, mobile phone and external hard drive.
They were found to contain more than 1,500 pornographic images and videos of children – 369 of them being the most severe category A.
Photos of abuse of children under two years of age were also downloaded by Land over a 19-year period.
Bhumi was convicted of three counts of making indecent images, one of possessing extreme images, six of voyeurism and one of possession of prohibited images of children.
The land, which now belongs to Abergel, Conwy, Wales, was jailed at Derby Crown Court on Tuesday and made the subject of a ten-year sexual harm prevention order.
Judge Nirmal Shant QC said: ‘You clearly targeted very young children aged three to five years, it was a swimming bath.
‘It caused a lot of trouble to their families.
‘You were always employed by Derbyshire Constabulary as a PCSO – in 2017 you were given a role in cybercrime.
‘You have given security advice in online safety and against this background you acknowledge that you have been in possession of pornographic images from 2002 to 2021.’
Land sanctioned for holding 369 Category A abuse images, 262 Category B and 686 Category C.
He resigned from the force in April after being suspended at the start of a police investigation.
Speaking after the case, Deputy Chief Constable Kate Menell said: ‘There is no place in Derbyshire Constabulary for anyone who commits such serious offences.
‘We, the communities we serve, are shocked and disappointed by Land’s actions.
‘He was arrested and suspended as soon as possible and after the criminal case is over, the felony misconduct proceedings are on.
‘We will try to put him on the banned list, which will prevent him from working for other police forces and certain other businesses.’
