Love Island’s Ian Sterling couldn’t resist opening the show with a commentary on the cost of former Conservative MP Neil Parish, who resigned after watching porn in the House of Commons.
Tonight saw Ian return to the role of narrator as his wife Laura Whitmore once again took on the presentation gig.
But moments from the show, Ian incorporated Mr Parrish’s scandal into his remarks as he introduced the new villa to fans.
He began: ‘Yeah, we’re back and the great news is we’ve got a new villa. Incredibly, we managed to find one that has 57 cameras and a spacious communal bedroom.
‘I do not know what this place was previously used for, but I saw a draw and a copy of the handcuffs, lube and tractors marked monthly “Property of the House of Commons.”
Mr Parish famously claimed he was looking for a tractor After being viewed by coworkers while viewing X-rated content,
At the time, friends of the Devon MP said the farmer was looking for a brand of combine harvester called ‘Dominator’ when he ended up on an adult website.
Of course, fans of the program immediately praised Ian’s comment, as he reacted to the comment.
One shared: ‘Ian Sterling making a politics-related joke like the series has 2 minutes of content we love watching #LoveIsland.’
Another Twitter user said: ‘I really miss Ian taking p**s #LoveIsland.’
One viewer asked, ‘Can Ian Sterling announce a vote of confidence in #LoveIsland.
Someone else shared, ‘#LoveIsland started with criticisms of Tories, I’m so excited.
Ian has been commenting on the series since the beginning and is a firm favorite of fans.
He likes to take a swipe or two in his role, and recently burst onto rival dating shows, like First Dates and Celebs Go Dating, during a trailer for the series.
One part of the video shows two animated figures kissing on a selection of pool floats, spelling out ‘The Ozzy of Love’, while another moment with ‘Naked Celebs Go Dating on a Beach’ One is shown breaking a leg on TV. The flag appears reading ‘Love, we own it’.
Love Island continues tonight at 9 PM on ITV2.
