After a bizarre dispute with his record label, Halsey is finally set to release So Good.

The Without Me singer, 27, recently went viral when he claimed that his label would not allow him to drop the song until it went ‘viral’ on TikTok.

He shared an emotional plea on stage last week, insisting that he ‘deserves better’.

The owners of Capital Music have since confirmed that the social media drama After So Good will finally be released in June.

A tweet from the label’s official Twitter page read, ‘- @halsey, we love you and are here to support you.

‘We are committed to the release of So Good on June 9, 2022.’

“We are the first artist company to encourage open dialogue,” he said in a statement.

‘We have nothing but a desire to help each of our artists succeed and hope we can continue these important conversations.’

Responding to the U-turn, Halsey shared excerpts from the music video with loyal fans, as well as some behind-the-scenes moments.

He captioned the Instagram post, ‘If you have internet you’ve probably heard I’ve been trying this song out for a long time.

‘And I’m thrilled that you finally get to hear it.

‘So good, song on June 9th and video the next day (directed by @zoneaydin). Andy gave me my flowers.’

Halsey recently made headlines after claiming that her record label was refusing to release any of her latest music.

The Nightmare star has been signed to AstralWorks, an imprint of Capitol Records, since 2014, and dropped her latest album, If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power, last August.

They hoped to share the new music with fans, but were reportedly met with an ultimatum over a possible future release.

Halsey shared on TikTok, “Basically, I have a song I love that I want to release ASAP, but my record label won’t allow me.”

‘I’ve been in this industry for eight years and I’ve sold over 165 million records and my record company is saying I can’t release [the song] Unless they can fake the viral moment on Tiktok.

“Everything is marketing and they are doing that to every artist these days. I just want to release music, man and I deserve better TBH. I am tired.’

A spokesperson for Capital Music Group added to Metro.co.uk at the time: ‘Our belief in Halsey as a singular and important artist is complete and unwavering.

‘We can’t wait for the world to hear his awesome new music.’
