Gabriel Jesus has suggested he could make a final decision on his club’s future next week.

The Manchester City forward is reportedly set to leave the Premier League champions for Arsenal.

As a reliable substitute for Pep Guardiola, the Brazil international is said to be eager to secure more first-team chances for himself after starting just 21 league games last season. Erling Haaland’s arrival at the Etihad is likely to further limit their opportunities.

While Arsenal missed out on Champions League qualification last season, Jesus is reportedly still keen to reunite with former City assistant Mikel Arteta this summer.

Speaking after scoring for Brazil in a 5–1 win against South Korea, Jesus suggested a decision might be imminent.

‘I want to see what’s best for me, and above all, my career. From Tuesday, we will see what is the best.’

Tottenham are rivals with the signing of the Gunners for Jesus with Antonio Conte’s side capable of offering Champions League football next season.

But reports suggest the 25-year-old is keen to work under Arteta and is ready to sacrifice at least one season of Champions League football.

Jesus has been a reliable substitute under Guardiola since moving to the Etihad in 2016, scoring 95 goals in 236 appearances. He scored 13 goals and 12 assists in 41 matches last season.
