EastEnders spoiler: Ben opens up about the trauma of sexual assault to Kathy. Soap

Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) breaks into the EastEnders the next week, convincing mother Cathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) that Louise Butler (Aidan O’Callaghan) raped her.

The mechanic struggles to make sense of what happened to him several weeks ago, and those around him, including Cathy, are beginning to worry about his mental health.

Meanwhile, Kheerat Panesar (Jaz Deol), unsure how to proceed at the Arches when Ben refuses to work, because despite Dottie Cotton’s (Millie Zero) offer to help, they fall short. are employees.

Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) offers a solution, which he recommends to a mechanic he knows, named Dave.

Ben, meanwhile, overhears Lewis telling Cathy that he was involved in a homosexual assault, but has little sympathy for the rapist, saying he gave her an STI.

Ben’s behavior is questioned after being rude to Lola Pierce (Danielle Harold). Kheerat, worried seeing the medicine that Ben is taking, and thus goes to visit his colleague, telling him that he is always there to talk.

However, conflict soon ensues when Ben comes to work to find out about Dave’s recruiting.

Dave is overly familiar, which Ben finds uncomfortable, and thus he leaves for some fresh air, but he spots Callum Highway (Tony Clay) advises Lewis about reporting his homophobic attack.

Rising up, he returns to Arches and insists that Dave be left alone, before eventually breaking up.

The next morning, Ben wakes up at Arches, spending the night there. He hears Dave banging on the door demanding his wages, a problem which Jai solves on his behalf.

Kheirat, however, is concerned with Ben’s state, and thus relates his concerns to Kathy, who later confronts his son.

Tensions run high between the mother-son duo, with Kathy blaming Ben for what happened to Callum.

This proves to be too much for Ben and, as feelings run high, the money eventually falls for Cathy, as she learns that Louise raped her son.

Reeling in, she does everything she can to support Ben.

Ben, however, needs some space, and thus runs out, but he returns later, to Cathy’s relief, and opens up about what happened.

After heart to heart, Kathy encourages him to go to the police – but Ben refuses.
