the former WWE NXT Superstars Ember Moon and Malcolm Bivens made their All Elite wrestling debuts this weekend at AEW Double or Nothing 2022.

The pair, now known as Athena and Stokely Hathaway, made their mark during Sunday night’s pay-per-view following their respective WWE releases in November 2021 and April 2022.

Hathaway appeared during the defense of AEW TBS Champion Jade Cargill against Anna Jay, causing enough distraction to help her retain the gold.

The Champion and The Baddies then jumped on the attack, leading to a save by Chris Stadtlander, but the numbers game turned out to be too much for him and Anna.

However, Athena came forward to help, sending them running and impressing on their first night at AEW.

Later, boss Tony Khan confirms that both Athena and Hathaway are All Elite, with both stars signing on the dotted line and joining the roster.

Elsewhere in the show, MJF was dragged out of the arena after a one-sided defeat to Wardlow.

The Salt of the Earth – who has made no secret of his openness to join WWE when his AEW contract expires in January 2024 – has been the subject of a lot of controversy and speculation over the weekend regarding his future with Tony Khan promotions. The latter arrived in the form of a chorus and joke. ,

Maxwell Jacob Friedman did not show up at the Fan Fest over the weekend, while there were reports that he had a last-minute flight from Las Vegas booked for Sunday’s show due to his condition being unclear.

Fans chanted ‘You f**ked up’ and ‘Hey show up’ as the 26-year-old wrestler arrived for his match with Wardlow, the culmination of a nearly three-year story.

Before the match began, he pointed like an airplane and sped away from the crowd, enraging the crowd even more.

In the end, the match went on as Wardlow hit his storyline-employer with 10 powerbombs before taking a dominating victory.
