Pictures reveal Mickey North, who plays Gary, filming the scenes – including the intense showdown – on-location for the ITV soap.
Gary is seen handing over a bag of cash to the thugs, who are believed to be a former associate of the deceased Rick Neelan.
The former slides the Loanshark bag towards the heavy on the floor, which the latter removes and locks up with the cash.
As mentioned, an intense exchange ensues, but will Gary be left fighting for his life? Or will anyone who opposes him manage to dominate him?
It’s been years since Gary found Rick’s body.
Rick, as viewers know, was murdered by Gary several years ago during a heated showdown in the woods.
Gary successfully covered up the crime, and has since gone out of his way to make amends for what he did.
However, Laura (Kyle Allen), terminally ill, is determined to find out the truth about what happened to her abusive ex before she dies, as she convinces Kelly (Millie Gibson) to get her hands on her money. It was hell for sure.
But the investigation revealed that Gary had killed him!
At first, Laura resolves to go to the police so Rick can be pronounced dead and Kelly can inherit his cash.
However, Kelly discusses how much she enjoys being with Gary and Maria Connor (Samia Longchumbon) during a conversation with Simon Barlow (Alex Bain).
Laura overhears this, and knowing that she cannot let Gary down for murder, she decides to tell the police instead. He Killed Rick!
Kelly was shocked, as she was convinced that her mother had killed her father, and thus decided against going to his hospital.
Laura later died.
Meanwhile, Rick receives the funeral, but a thug from his past comes to the service and spits on his coffin, resulting in Gary punching him!
Could this former ally have any role in the upcoming feud?
Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8 p.m. on ITV.
