Bridgerton star Ruby Barker has been released from hospital after being admitted for a mental health battle.
The 25-year-old actress, who plays Marina Thompson in the Netflix series, reassured her followers that she “can’t wait for the future” and thanked them for their support.
Ruby’s update came after she had previously said that she had been “unwell for a really long time” and felt she was “carrying the weight of the world on my back.”
In the video recorded from the hot tub, Ruby said, ‘I can’t wait to the future. I’m doing fine for myself. I am sitting in a beautiful environment right now, taking some time to relax and breathe.
Giving advice to his younger self, he continued: ‘Listen, it’s not all doom and gloom, even when you hit rock bottom.’
Ruby thanked the NHS staff, her doctors, her loved ones and the Bridgerton family for their help, and made a special mention to her co-star Claudia Jesse.
‘He asked me to turn the coin,’ said Ruby. ‘It may be dull on one side, but just flip the coin over and you’ll find it’s shiny on the other side.
‘It’s training your mind to find the funny, find the light, find the positive. It’s a really hard thing to do, but if you can practice doing it, you’ve got it.
‘I just want everyone to feel good and feel supported and loved and held and listened to. Anyone who is in a dark place at the moment, I want you to know that I see you I feel you. Find funny ones and flip that coin.’
Ruby captioned her video saying: ‘I have been discharged from the hospital! Thank you so much for the support, I can’t wait for the future and I feel like I’m on the other side.
‘Thank you all, have a nice day 🙏 Take care of yourself, don’t be afraid to check in with your loved ones and we are all in this together as they say in the High School Musical big big love. ,
Last week, Ruby shared that she struggled between being ‘dangerous to existentially’ as well as being ‘full of anger, frustrated, angry,’ before seeking help for ‘all this intergenerational trauma tied up inside me’ .
She explained: ‘And now, I’m at a point where I have a diagnosis, and I’ll talk to you about it another time. But I have a diagnosis, and I’m abandoning myself and forgiving myself and drawing a line in the sand.
‘I can’t follow the path I’m on. I need to change. So, that’s what I am trying to do.
