Later this afternoon, she opened up on the attack, along with her husband, while speaking to Colin Brazier on GB News.

Gill explained how he became aware of the ‘loud noise’ while shopping on the other side of the street, adding: ‘We felt a slight movement, but it wasn’t until we got out. Ambulances and police are trying to reach.

‘It built up very slowly, at first we thought it was a minor car accident. We started to realize that there were many more incidents happening on the streets, this was a scene much bigger than we could have imagined.

They both described the rubble they could see on the road, as Barrowman recalled being at the ‘center’ of the incident.

He told the host: ‘When the second wave of the first reaction came and engulfed the area, we were at the center of it.

‘That was when I got a call from a friend who was a former military helicopter pilot who was in Afghanistan and he was calling just to say hello and I told him what had happened.’

The former Dancing on Ice judge was immediately told by his friend to ‘go behind the tree’ or ‘do something that can protect you’.

‘Cause if there’s another wave of something, if it’s an attack, they’re distracting from one and they can do the other.

He told the brazier, ‘So when I was doing some videos I was under a tree and hiding a huge piece of cement.

He shared with followers that he was watching in a clip uploaded to Twitter from a scene after the tragic accident in the German capital.

‘It’s really bad people. Where we are here, there is a lot of police, there is a dead body in the middle of the road.

In another clip, John explained that with helicopters arriving to aid the wounded, they were ‘totally taken down by the incident’.

He said: ‘It’s bad … there are hundreds of emergency services in the area. They are closing city block after city block and keep expanding. We are being pushed back and out.

The pair returned to their hotel shortly after to make sure they were out of the way of the scene.
