Report 014: Gay Rights Groups To March In Jamaica Under The Title Tolerance For Persons Living With HIV & AIDS

First I think I should let it be known that I don’t discriminate against people with any types of sickness, mental, physical, race, gender, age etc. Now we get that out the way let’s look at this recent headline coming out of Jamaica.

“AIDS SUPPORT MARCH FOR MONTEGO BAY TODAY” hmm, very interesting and positive, now let’s look at the body of this news.

“A historic march for tolerance was undertaken by gay leaders from the United States and Jamaica AIDS Support for Life in Montego Bay, St. James Wednesday morning.
Close to 100 persons participated in the march, calling for persons to be more tolerant of others usually discriminated against, including AIDS victims and gays. “

STOP RIGHT HERE, IS THIS A MARCH FOR HIV/ AIDS VICTIMS OR GAY RIGHTS? KEEP READING.

The historic march was led by Reverend Elder Nancy L. Wilson, the openly lesbian presiding bishop of the International Movement of Metropolitan Community Churches.

Wednesday's march for tolerance comes in the midst of criticisms being levelled against Jamaica, particularly entertainers for their lack of tolerance of gays.

NO WORRIES HERE FOR THE US GAY GROUPS, SOME HOW THESE ENTERTAINERS VISA REVOKED FOR NO REASON.

Reverend Wilson, who arrived in Montego Bay fresh from her meeting with US President Barack Obama, told RJR News that affected persons are now emerging from their shells.

"This is an amazing event ... it's a day of standing up with people with HIV and AIDS, their families and friends and saying all people deserve justice and health care and dignity and to be free from stigma or hatred just because of who they are or who they love and because of their HIV and AIDS status," she said.

Devon Camock, Manager of the Montego Bay Chapter of the Jamaica AIDS Support for Life, said while the turn out was not as great as anticipated, they are ecstatic.

"We were anticipating more persons, however, at the last minute some persons were late while some didn't show up. It's the first time we've had a tolerance walk and we're taking about tolerance for person who have HIV/AIDS, tolerance for persons who are hearing impaired, tolerance for person who are sex workers, tolerance for everybody as often times, we're not tolerant of each other," he said.”

Now, lets talk about orange and apples, how did they get the two to mix. Did you notice how they get the two separate issues package and sold? This is not about March for HIV/Aids this is a march for the legalization of Gay activities in Jamaica.

If you didn’t know, Buggery or same sex relationship is against the law in Jamaica and is punishable by a sentence of no more than 10 years at hard labour. So, you see why they packaged the two separate issues just so they can ram their agenda and life style down people belly. Its like putting bitter pill in ice cream.

Lets look at anther section of this breaking news…"This is an amazing event ... it's a day of standing up with people with HIV and AIDS, their families and friends and saying all people deserve justice and health care and dignity and to be free from stigma or hatred just because of who they are or who they love and because of their HIV and AIDS status,"

There is no law base on who you love in Jamaica and Jamaican really don't discriminate because of who you are, maybe of what you do... the law is talking about same sex sexual relationship not who you love. No one really discriminate because you love someone. Why they don’t explain it in plain language what they marching for. Like, we marching because we want the rights to openly have sexual relationship with the same sex.

The Jamaica Gay Law basically in place to put fair in Gays, I don’t think anyone doing time or ever done time in Jamaica because they Gay or was displaying Gay affection in public. I think what Jamaica trying to do is keep the marriage union alive between man and woman not man and man.

Jamaica is not the only country with these Gay laws; there other countries that more serious when it comes to enforcing these laws, they kicked ass and take names then put you in jail. Take Malawi for example, a couple facing 14 years behind bars for gross public indecency.

On a final note, I always say that this earth is for everyone and a person should be free to live the life they want only that they do not encroach on others…
