Ok...If you a Jamaican born or done any schooling in Jamaica then you should have some story about some ass wiping from your teacher or your parents to do your school work.
Back in the days, my principal use to meet us in the morning with a belt and give us some wiping if he could catch you, I never get any maybe because he sees into my eyes..
Back to the main question, should you beat your child if he playing around and not learning, especially for thing you thought him weeks ago that he know but today he looking into space. Maybe he needs some ASS wiping.
Do you think kids learn if they get some ass wiping or you just send them to their room, the American way.
My son is 7, spell very well for his age better than me when I was his age...but is math is upside down. He can count by 1, 2, 5, and 10 and so on but ask him 5 + 5 + 5 + 10 + 10 and him looking at you like you speaking Spanish.
Ask him to count by 2 to 100, then by 5 to a 100, then by 10 to a 100, even ask him to count by 1 to a 100. No problem. He still can't answer the math problem.
I'm starting to get pissed off now because it’s something I sit down with him when he was 4 years of age. I realized that he confused or something not working in his head so I don’t worry to wiping up.
What to do now...! I went for the belt, not to beat him but to see if it will do any good when he sees it. I get the belt and show him the buckle part and say this is what I'm going to use.
He start to cover himself with the blanket, I remove the blanket and tell him that it not going to help him and his mother not here to beg for him.
I said, feel the buckle how it tough, that’s the part I'm going to use...Then he tell me he want to use the bath room, I don’t know what he do in the bath room, probably count his finger or toes..
He came back and gives me the corrected answer....Why did I have to put fair in him to use his head.
He could get the answer if I let him count his fingers and toes but I wont let him, sometime he will count by one in his head to get the answer but I want him to count by 5, 10 and 20 to get the answer.
What’s your take or experience?
