Reggae`s Grammy-winning musician and actor, James `Jimmy Cliff` Chambers, is set to rock his way into the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame tonight.
The singer, who became a worldwide phenomenon after the 1970s release of `The Harder They Come,` album and movie by the same name, will be inducted by Haitian singer Wyclef Jean into the prestigious 25th Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction ceremony tonight.
The Ceremony will take place at the Waldorf Astoria in New York City and will air live on Fuse, Madison Square Garden`s national music television network on Channel 132 in New York City on Time Warner Cable.
Cliff was reggae`s first international star and remains its greatest living ambassador, having taken the music of Jamaica to all corners of the world. He had hits outside of Jamaica as far back as 1969, when `Wonderful World, Beautiful People` reached Number Six in Britain and Number 25 in the U.S. Read more here...
